Settled UK

Support

Contact us

In the app, open Settings and tap "Contact support". Add your email if you want a reply; the app sends your app and iOS versions with the message. You can also email syncs.bio@gmail.com and tell us which iPhone and iOS version you use and what happened. Please do not send passwords. We reply as soon as we can. Ideas for the app are welcome under Settings, "Suggest a feature".

What the app can and cannot do

Settled UK gives estimates from the dates you enter. It does not give legal or tax advice. The dates it shows are an estimate: the decision on your settlement or citizenship application is made by the Home Office, and tax residence is decided by HMRC. For advice on your own case, speak to a regulated immigration adviser or a tax adviser.

Delete your data

Open the app, go to Settings, tap "Delete all my data", then "Delete everything". This erases your data from your phone and from our servers and deletes your account. If you linked Apple, Google or an email address, the app first asks you to confirm it is you. Details are in the privacy policy.

Turn off analytics

Open Settings and switch off "Share usage data". The app then stops sending usage events. Your estimates keep working as before.

Questions

Do I need an account?

No. The app starts with an anonymous account and asks for nothing. Under Settings, "Save your data", you can link Apple, Google or an email address, so your data comes back if you change phone.

How do I get my data on a new phone?

Link Apple, Google or an email address in Settings before you switch. On the new phone, sign in with the same method. Without a linked account, your data stays with the anonymous account on the old phone.

How do I change my visa route or dates?

Open Settings and tap the detail you want to change, for example "Visa route" or "Permission start". The estimates update straight away.

Why does my estimate say it depends on my trips?

Time outside the UK can affect settlement and citizenship. Add your trips under "All trips" and confirm that your trip history is complete, so the estimate can use them. You can add planned trips too.

What is the tax residence check?

It is an optional view based on the Statutory Residence Test. You answer a few questions for each tax year and the app shows a likely result. It is an estimate, and HMRC decides your actual tax residence.

Where can I read how the dates are worked out?

In the app, Settings has a "How we estimate" section with the rules and official sources behind each estimate.
